Is NLU a GI Bill® approved school?

Yes, NLU is a GI Bill® approved school. However, you will need to check with the school to ensure that your preferred degree program is covered by the GI Bill®. 

Is NLU a Yellow Ribbon school?

Yes, NLU is not  a Yellow Ribbon school.

As a private school, they may have other programs to help offset the difference between their tuition and the GI Bill®. 

Does NLU offer Yellow Ribbon for master’s programs?

Yes, NLU does not offer Yellow Ribbon funding for master’s programs.

At $430 per credit hour (undergrad) National Louis University’s tuition rate for active military does exceed the Tuition Rate assistance cap of $250 per hour. This means that the student may  have out-of-pocket costs.  

*Active duty military members and veterans are encouraged to apply for the Community Heroes Scholarship to reduce tuition costs.

Is NLU a military friendly school?

NLU is considered military friendly. They feature a veteran counselor on campus, credit for military service, offers a book credit, career services, and a military tuition scholarship.  In addition, the school is approved for tuition assistance offering a reduced tuition rate for the military.

Yes, NLU is a Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) approved school.

Community Heroes Scholarship

The Community Heroes Scholarship can be used by active duty military members and veterans for both undergraduate and graduate degree programs at NLU. Program limitations may apply. Spouses and dependent children may also be eligible for the scholarship.

• Active Duty Military - The Community Heroes Scholarship will reduce the tuition of active duty military by $167/per quarter for undergraduate; $250/per semester hour for graduate programs. Any remaining tuition balance could be covered by Tuition Assistance, enabling active duty military members to more easily cover the cost of their degree program. 
• Veterans - Veterans who have been honorably discharged are eligible for the 15% Community Heroes Scholarship. The scholarship can be used in conjunction with your education benefits. The Montgomery G.I. Bill could cover Any remaining tuition balance, enabling veterans to more easily cover the cost of their degree program.
