Each year, Ringling College Galleries and Exhibitions hosts the exhibit War Paint: Profiles of Courage. The exhibition showcases the work of Ringling College students and faculty as they honor and share the stories of local veterans through captivating portraits. 

It offers an opportunity for two unlikely groups to spend time together. Veterans, who may never have stepped foot in an art gallery or gotten to know an art student—and the art student who might otherwise have no reason to get to know a veteran—share the meaningful experience.  

These works narrate tales that span the battlefields of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan to the steadfast resolve of current enlisted troops. The artists humanize the narratives of these conflicts, encapsulating their profound significance for our service men and women.
