A Retired Army Master Sergeant, Francisco Morales was assigned to St. Bonaventure as a senior military science instructor in the Army ROTC program. Upon retirement from the military, Morales earned a master’s in community mental health counseling from St. Bonaventure. While attending St. Bonaventure, Morales founded the Student Veterans Association at St. Bonaventure, and mentored JCC’s club Valor in being recognized as members of the Student Veteran association as well. Since graduation, Morales has worked as mental health counselor for Catholic Charities and a guidance counselor in the Bolivar-Richburg Central School district. Morales currently serves as the Director of the military aligned students Program at St. Bonaventure University. Frank Morales has significant experience in counseling and mentoring veterans, active duty soldiers and students on a wide variety of issues, encompassing post-traumatic stress disorder, finances, health care, legal and family matters. Morales has more than 20 years of military experience encompassing leadership positions in the United States, Italy, and other overseas locations. He’s also served in peacekeeping operations in Bosnia and Rwanda, and combat operations in Afghanistan in where he earned a Silver Star and Bronze Star medal for gallantry in action.
